I hesitated to buy this product for 18 months due to the up-front cost, but I finally broke down 2 months ago and got it for a housewarming gift to myself. I have been slapping myself for waiting so long since my first sip! This is seriously the most amazing machine EVER. It could not be easier to use, clean, or operate, and my god it makes a latte that is honestly MUCH better than anything I ever got from Caribou Coffee or Starbucks. The entire brewing process literally takes under 2 minutes, even if you plan on frothing milk, and about 60 seconds to clean afterward. I used to be a Caribou drive through regular, and to be honest, after having this thing for less than two weeks, I made a tearful goodbye speech to my favorite-ever baristas. I am planning on bringing THEM some espresso some time soon. When you order, Nespresso sends you a sampler of their line, and I honestly liked every single one of their blends- I was a little concerned to be so locked in to one manufacturer's product, but my goodness, these people KNOW and LOVE their coffee, and the convenience is unbeatable. A+ and recommendations to all my friends and acquaintances! I could not recommend this enough!

I saw a demo of this machine at Bloomingdales and was pretty impressed. After reading several online reviews I purchasing this unit to replace an older manual Cuisinart machine. My old machine would take 2-3 minutes to heat the water, another 3-5 minutes to prepare a drink and a minute or two to clean the mess. This machine takes about 2 minutes start to finish with very little cleanup. I was a bit hesitant to buy a machine that you were forced to buy coffee pods but so far I've tried 5 from the sample pack and enjoyed them all. I'd highly recommend this machine to anyone who has a Starbucks addiction.

This machine was in my flat when I moved into it, left by the owner. I don't know the exact age.Coffee: The coffee portion of the machine is well made, with a really solid feel to the lever. Everything is on a small scale (water reservoir, used pod collection tray etc), but perfect for a couple of coffee's per day.Milk: The milk frother worked when we moved in, but now it only heats the milk. The motor for frothing does not work anymore, and it seems very much like you have to buy a new one for $100+. This is a real shame, and the reviews/google searches seem to show that they fail often. We will buy another one, but if it doesnt last at least a few years, then we're done with it.The coffee taste is the best I've had at home without going to a proper boiler with portafilter machine. There isnt really much in the way of real creama (comparing this to my proper $2500 machine, so probably an unfair comparison). The cost of the coffee is expensive ($60/lb?), so if you drink a few coffee's a day, then pod machines are probably not for you (financially).Conclusion:1) Coffee portion is great quality, good taste etc.2) Milk frother is expensive when it stops working. It doesnt create 'proper' foam like you get at a cafe, but for how easy it is to use, it's good.3) The coffee pods are expensive (and only 5g per pod, not a normal 'shot' size).
